Northern California Rivers map The Rivers We Run

The rivers of Northern California and Southern Oregon run through beautiful wilderness environments where nature is in full bloom.

Gentle float trips, class 2, are perfect for multi-generation family gatherings. Parents with young children, grandparents will appreciate the easy pace, the beauty and not least, safety and fun.
Read about kids on the river.

A class 3 adventure offers the perfect mix of thrill and relaxation. If you are looking to challenge yourself, a class 4/5 trip is your ticket.

We know our local rivers very well. We take the time to understand your needs and desires and we will help you select the trip just right for you and your family.

Read our river descriptions posted below and also read this guide to river difficulty.

Spring Rivers

Spring, April through June, is the best time to experience class 3 to 5 whitewater. Rivers are flush and full. Expect cold waters and come prepared for any weather and some of the most exhilarating paddling of the season. The action, camaraderie and early spring scenery will enchant you. Summer Rivers

The summer months bring long, warm days of rafting in beautiful canyons. You'll see turtle, osprey, river otter, deer and the occasional bald eagle on the Klamath River. The Gentle Klamath offers the calmest waters of California's longest river, while the Upper Klamath boasts class 4/5 waters. The Klamath section out of Happy Camp is home to our multi-day trips where you'll fall asleep under the stars on secluded beaches, right on river's edge. The Trinity River has cool, clear waters throughout the summer, fun rapids and plenty of lively action.
